2010-2011 Preview

Head Coach: Will Werntz (9th Season)

Under the guidance of head coach Will Werntz, the Marlboro Mustangs have gone from afterthoughts into a Top 10 Shore program.  While they've had some studs in previous years (Livio Dirubbo, Charlie Frankel, Nick Parisi), the Mustangs have never had as balanced a lineup as this years appears to be, especially down low.  There may be some questions up top, but if they're answered, then this is a surefire Top 10 team and a threat to take the A-North crown from Howell.

Lower Half (103-140): With Anthony Anzalone (transfer from Colts Neck) joining fellow 20+ match winning seniors James Stewart, Vinnie Leone, and Adam Ramadan, and sophomore Andrew Doukas, the Mustangs could be scary good down low. 

Upper Half (145-Hwt): If the Mustangs have any question marks it may be up top, but even so they have one of the Shore's top big boys in senior Mitch Seigel.  This group has put in the work to make themselves better and if the work pays off it could really make the Mustangs a brutal team to deal with.

Not going to lie, I feel like I've typing Seigel's name for 6 or 7 years.  The senior has racked up 78 career wins through his first three years, often taking on older and larger wrestlers. He's put in the time this off-season at the club, and looks primed to make a run for some AC hardware in 2011.
