2010 Season Preview
Head Coach: Will Werntz (8th Season)
With 15 lettermen returning, and a couple of solid youngsters looking to break into the lineup, Marlboro will put one of it's deepest and most talented teams in the program's history on the mat in 2010.
The junior trio of James Stewart, Vinnie Leone (District Champ @ 112), and Adam Ramadan gives the Mustangs a solid 1-2-3 start to the lowerweights. Sophomore Zach Goldrosen showed a lot of potential during his freshman season compiling 14 wins at 135. Freshman Andrew Doukas, who's coming off a very solid intermediate school run, should figure into the mix in the lower half as well.
Returning District medal winners Paul Saraiva (4th @ Regions) and Greg Doukas, both seniors, anchor the upper half of the lineup. Junior Mitch Seigel has shown some great flashes his first two seasons and has the ability to have a huge year at 215 for the Mustangs.

Wrestler To Watch - (Sr) Paul Saraiva
Saraiva came up just short of a trip to Atlantic City in 2009, dropping a 1-point decision to Brick's Kevin Johnson in the Region 3rd place match. He's back at 145 and should be in the mix for a trip to Boardwalk Hall in 2010.
DESPO's Outlook
There's talent spread nicely throughout the lineup here. The wrestlers have put in the time in the off season and seemed poised to give Marlboro there best season in years. If the returning talent surrounding Seigel up tops have a nice turnaround, the Mustangs are going to give a lot of teams problems and could pull off some big wins. Another program that is on the rise in the Shore.

2010 Season Preview
Head Coach: Will Werntz (8th Season)
With 15 lettermen returning, and a couple of solid youngsters looking to break into the lineup, Marlboro will put one of it's deepest and most talented teams in the program's history on the mat in 2010.
The junior trio of James Stewart, Vinnie Leone (District Champ @ 112), and Adam Ramadan gives the Mustangs a solid 1-2-3 start to the lowerweights. Sophomore Zach Goldrosen showed a lot of potential during his freshman season compiling 14 wins at 135. Freshman Andrew Doukas, who's coming off a very solid intermediate school run, should figure into the mix in the lower half as well.
Returning District medal winners Paul Saraiva (4th @ Regions) and Greg Doukas, both seniors, anchor the upper half of the lineup. Junior Mitch Seigel has shown some great flashes his first two seasons and has the ability to have a huge year at 215 for the Mustangs.

Saraiva came up just short of a trip to Atlantic City in 2009, dropping a 1-point decision to Brick's Kevin Johnson in the Region 3rd place match. He's back at 145 and should be in the mix for a trip to Boardwalk Hall in 2010.
DESPO's Outlook
There's talent spread nicely throughout the lineup here. The wrestlers have put in the time in the off season and seemed poised to give Marlboro there best season in years. If the returning talent surrounding Seigel up tops have a nice turnaround, the Mustangs are going to give a lot of teams problems and could pull off some big wins. Another program that is on the rise in the Shore.
